Data Protection Notice (KVKK)

This notice explains, in the context of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), how Aktaş Sağlık Kozmetik ve Temizlik Ürünleri Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi ("Nilem", "the Company") processes and protects your personal data as data controller. It covers personal data processed through our website, our contact channels and our facility in Esentepe.

General Principles of Processing

Your personal data is processed in line with the principles set out in Article 4 of the KVKK: lawfully and fairly; accurately and, where necessary, kept up to date; for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes; relevant to, limited to and proportionate for the purposes for which it is processed; and retained only for the period required by the relevant legislation.

Depending on the nature of your relationship with us, the following categories of personal data may be processed:

Identity and contact data: Full name, email address, phone number
Transaction/request data: The content of the message you send us via the contact form or other channels
Physical premises security data: CCTV footage of you, should you visit our facility
Transaction security data: The IP address and similar technical logs generated when you visit our website

Responding to requests and enquiries sent to us
Communicating with people requesting information about our products and services
Evaluating distribution, private-label / OEM partnership requests
Ensuring the security of our facility, employees and visitors
Protecting website security and preventing misuse (e.g. form spam protection)
Fulfilling legal obligations

Technical and Administrative Security Measures

To keep your personal data secure, we apply measures such as HTTPS/SSL encryption, security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, etc.) and access authorisation on our website. Data submitted via the contact form can only be viewed by authorised personnel, on a need-to-know basis, and is not shared with third parties.

CCTV Monitoring

Our facility uses CCTV monitoring to ensure the safety of employees and visitors and to protect property. Camera coverage is limited to entry/exit points and shared areas; footage is accessed only by a limited number of authorised personnel for security purposes and is deleted at the end of the retention period stated below.

Transfer of Personal Data

Except where legally required (e.g. at the request of authorised public bodies), your personal data is not shared with third parties in Türkiye or abroad. Third-party services used on our website, such as Google Translate, may process limited technical data under their own privacy policies.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy

Your personal data is retained for the period required by the purpose of processing and by applicable statutes of limitation; at the end of that period it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised:

Contact form / enquiry data: 2 years from the resolution of the enquiry
CCTV footage: Generally a maximum of 30 days; if it becomes relevant to an incident or dispute, until that matter is resolved

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information about it if it is; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad; request correction if it is processed incompletely or incorrectly; request its deletion or destruction; request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom the data has been transferred; object to a result that is to your detriment arising from analysis exclusively through automated systems; and claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.

You can exercise these rights by writing to info@aktassaglik.com.tr; your request will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. If your application is rejected, the response is found insufficient, or no response is given within the statutory period, you retain the right to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu).

Definitions

Personal data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person
Data controller: The natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for establishing and managing the data-recording system
Data subject: The natural person whose personal data is processed
Explicit consent: Consent relating to a specific matter, based on information, and expressed with free will
